I don’t have a degree in websites, but in Marketing (with an economics minor). I’ve always been curious about the small changes that make marketing more effective, motivate people to action. I’ve been analyzing data, writing reports and recommending strategic marketing for 20 years. Though always rooted in data, I’ve worked on the site of primary research (read: focus groups and surveys) then more secondary research (read: social media analytics) before landing and loving the digital building and optimization world (read: websites and campaigns).

After a few stints in the big ad agency world, I pivoted to boutique agencies, where the clients are more like partners and the objectives are more life affirming. When starting my own consulting practice, I knew I wanted to work with nonprofits and do-good companies but felt the SEO consulting title was too narrow and lacked the more holistic approach I wanted to bring to projects. After years of practice, about a hundred websites launched or refreshed, I found my stride in being the lynchpin between organization strategy, designers and developers.
